The wreath laying was a part of a ceremony honouring the late Queen.

Many mourners gathered around the Cenotaph for the ceremony to pay their respects to Queen Elizabeth, with some adding their own floral tributes to the wreath.

The service opened with the singing of ‘O Canada’, and ended with the singing of ‘God Save the King’.

Today’s ceremony, along with the state funeral at Westminster Abbey in London, England, followed ten days of mourning after the Queen passed away on September 8th.

A National Commemorative Ceremony was also held in Ottawa at the Christ Church Cathedral.
