Trudy Klassen has come forward to run for Prince George City Council.
Klassen previously ran for School Board four years ago, but was unsuccessful.
Klassen said if she is elected to City Council, she will say yes to:
- Making it easier to start a small business in Prince George
- Speed up approvals to build homes
- Developing responsible industry and natural resource development
- Economic development
- Making it easier for arts and culture groups to thrive
“On council, I will only have one vote, but I do have a voice and I will be the voice for a thriving city and the accountable management of our city,” Klassen said.
“It’s time for prince George to grow up, time to take responsibility, time to act responsibly, to become the Northern capital in every sense of the word.”
Klassen joins nine other confirmed candidates in the race for Prince George City Council.
The Municipal Election will take place on October 15th.
