The Prince George Community Foundation has been revealed as the anonymous donor who helped the PG RCMP buy a new Victim Services Unit Vehicle.
“The purchase of this new vehicle will improve the day-to-day operations of our Victim Services Unit in many ways,” said Cpl. Jennifer Cooper.
“After 16 years, the previously donated vehicle had run it’s course, and the unit was looking to replace it with a more reliable vehicle suited to it’s current needs.”
The Prince George Community Foundation pitched in $50,000 to help the RCMP purchase the vehicle
“As a former Social Worker, I can tell you that I’ve had the opportunity to work with Victim Services throughout the province,” said Catherine Pennington, Prince George Community Foundation President.
“The work that they do is exemplary. We just can’t thank them enough for the work that they do, when we’re at our most vulnerable.”
At August 29th’s Regular City Council meeting, it was revealed an organization, who wished to remain anonymous at the time, donated the $50,000 to buy the vehicle.
