BCFC – Valley Huskers   34   Prince George Kodiaks 17

The Prince George Kodiaks fall to 0-3 in their first season, losing their second game to the Valley Huskers (3-1) in Chilliwack.

These two teams will travel north next weekend, playing in Masich Place Stadium on August 20th (Saturday).

Last weekend, the stadium was packed shoulder to shoulder with fans cheering the team on in their first ever home game.

World Juniors – Canada: 5  vs  Czechia: 1

Canada remains perfect in the World Junior Championships, scoring 5 unanswered against Czechia in Edmonton yesterday.

Mason McTavish scored two goals, increasing his lead in tournament scoring, now with 10 points in 3 games.

Tonight’s prime-time 7:00 game will be the US vs Sweden. Both Group B teams are undefeated in the tournament so far.

CFL – BC Lions: 41  vs  Calgary Stampeders: 40

The Lions pulled off a massive comeback in the fourth quarter, completed by a last-second field goal.

Nathan Rourke remains dominant, throwing 488 yards this game, topping his 477 yard game last weekend.

The Lions improve to 7-1 on the season, only trailing the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (9-1) in the standings.

MLB – Toronto Blue Jays: 2  vs  Cleveland Guardians: 1

The Jays bounced back from an 8-0 loss to Cleveland with a tight 2-1 win yesterday. The tiebreaker game is today at 10:30.
