Prince George’s local SPCA competed against Kamloops recently to see who could fundraise the most for their cause.
The North Cariboo SPCA beat their fundraising goal; However, Branch Manager Jamie Walsh did not have an exact total:
“So originally our goal was to raise around $20,000 for this month long city challenge with Kamloops, and we did actually reach our goal although I do not have the final tallies right now. The Community support was amazing we can’t thank everybody enough”
The efforts were a part of “Be Kind to Animals” month.
Walsh explained that they will be revealing the exact total soon, and says this money will be going towards operations at the shelter, including the care of all sick and injured animals.
