Hockey: Hlinka Gretzky Cup
Canada took it to the Swiss in last night’s opening preliminary game, winning 14-0, including an eight goal first period.
PG Cougars’ Riley Heidt had an assist on the opening goal, and closed the game out in jaw dropping style
A slick goal, and a slick feed.

Wow.
MLB: Toronto Blue Jays – 4 vs Detroit Tigers – 1
The Jays succeeded in winning their four game series against the Tigers this week with a win yesterday in a very quiet game with only nine hits.
Toronto won three of four against Detroit, will rest today, and then face their closest statistical rival in the Tampa Bay Rays tomorrow. The Jays are ahead of the Rays for second place by three games in the AL East.
CFL: Ottawa Redblacks – 23 vs Toronto Argonauts – 13
Ottawa has finally won a game in the 2022 season. Jaelon Acklin received a touchdown and led the game with 144 receiving yards on seven receptions.
With the loss, Toronto drops back to .500, still strong enough for top spot in the East division.
