The Royal Canadian Red Shirt Walk of Honour is taking place this weekend.
With the aim of raising funds for the Winch House in support of wounded military personnel and their families, the walk will raise money for their medical treatment and housing while in the lower mainland.
Harry Ulch is a coordinator for the walk, and says they typically see around 80 to 100 people come out for the walk and is hoping to at least double that this year.
The 5 km walk costs $20 by donation for a red shirt, but they are encouraging anyone who wants to get involved to come down in red and participate anyways.
This years walk takes place on Saturday from 9am to 1pm .
