Police investigating an assault near Victoria Street

Prince George RCMP said that one man is in the hospital after an assault near Victoria Street and 12th Avenue.

Officers are still investigating, and said the assault happened just after 1 PM today (Monday).

They added that witnesses report seeing multiple people beating up one man who was on the ground.

“Multiple police officers responded to the report. Police arrested one man in connection with the assault and continue to gather further evidence on the incident. The victim was located and transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. We have spoken with multiple witnesses to the event and thank those who stayed behind to speak with police about what they saw,” said Cpl Jen Cooper.
