Bike to Work and School Week kicks off Monday morning

Expect to see a lot more cyclists on the road starting Monday

The annual Bike to Work and School Week starts with a Kick Off Breakfast at City Hall Monday morning.

PG Cycling Club Urban Director Kyrke Gaudreau says they currently have 48 teams signed up.

“Which will make this our best year ever, and often time teams sign up Monday morning when they start their cycling and start recording cycling,” says Gaudreau, “so I’m expecting that number will continue to rise which is exciting.”

Gaudreau says the primary message behind Bike to Work and School Week is to encourage healthier transportation.

On Wednesday there will be a group ride on Wednesday starting at noon at 3rd and George.
