UHNBC PG Traditional Drummers celebrate two years of drumming

The UHNBC PG Traditional Drummers began honouring health care workers two years ago today (March 26th).

The drummers then gathered to “bring the heartbeat of the drums to the hospital” for the next 47 days.

After that, the group gathered every Monday, rain or shine, cold or hot, to continue to bring that heartbeat.

To celebrate the anniversary, the group gathered to reflect on the last two years.

Notable community leaders, such as Mayor Lyn Hall, Prince George Valemount MLA Shirley Bond, and Cariboo-Prince George MLA Todd Doherty shared words of support for the drummers.

In addition, Mayor Hall also proclaimed March 21st to 27th will now be known as UHNBC Drummers Week.
