Prince George RCMP have made arrests in a pair of robberies.
The first of which came just before noon on Thursday (March 17th) at a business in the 1800 block of 20th Avenue.
A lone male was reported to have brandished a knife at staff of the business, and then fled on foot with a small amount of ice cream.
Police found him walking down a nearby alley, and arrested him without incident.
The BC Prosecution Service has approved the following Criminal Code charges against 24-year-old Shane Coulas of Prince George:
- Robbery
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Failure to comply with a probation order
Coulas was remanded in custody, and will appear in court on April 4th.
Another person was arrested in a different robbery that happened just before 1:00 am Sunday at a downtown Prince George hotel.
In this incident, a man was reported to have demanded money from the staff, and threatened to harm them before fleeing on foot.
Police found him near the corner of 3rd Avenue and George Street, and he was arrested.
The BC Prosecution Service has approved the following charges against 28-year-old Johnathan Scott Jacobs of Surrey:
- Robbery
- Failure to comply with a release order
Jacobs was remanded in custody, and is scheduled to appear in court on April 5th.
