BC Conservation officers ramping it up this weekend

Enforcement officers will be increasing patrols over the long weekend.

These officials will be focused on recreational sites, backcountry access points, anglers, and illegal hunting.

Acting Superintendent Chris Doyle spoke about the next few days:

“Officers will be out everywhere, and we want everybody to have a good time, we want campers to enjoy their stay, we want them to not have a big impact on the environment and we want them to not have an impact on their neighbouring campers”

He reminds everyone to be courteous and careful, and to be mindful of wildlife dangers as well.

Doyle says this increased presence will support public safety and help protect ecosystems for others to enjoy.
