Police are looking to speak with someone they think is a person of interest from an arson investigation way back on January 28th of 2021.

“We do want to just speak with this person and figure out if they know anything about the vehicle arson that happened a year ago, just over a year ago now,” said Cpl Jennifer Cooper.

Last year Prince George RCMP responded to a report of a Honda Ridgeline on fire on the 1000 block of Ospika Boulevard North.

The vehicle was earlier reported as stolen.

“I know it’s a little bit odd to be looking for a person of interest in a year old file, but this would further our crime investigators investigation and information gathering,” said Cooper.

“Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a person of interest in this investigation. The woman we are seeking is approximately 5’2-5’4 tall. At the time of the surveillance photos, she appears to have blonde hair.”

She added that this isn’t the only file from 2021 that they are looking at.

“So our Serious Crimes Unit has been working on this and a few other files from that year where we do not have a conclusive end to our investigation. So we’re just trying to tie up some loose ends here.”
