Northern Health has been recognized by the Canadian Public Relations Society for their work during the Canada Winter Games.
The CPRS has granted the healthcare provider with a 2015 Gold Award in the Best Special Events Category – which recognizes outstanding projects in terms of public relations and communications.
Steve Raper, Chief of Communications with Northern Health says it was a true partnership with every department of Northern Health, from the top down:
“…To ensure that everybody had a role to play, and that we were going above and beyond both preparing for the athletes but also the pressures that might hit our community. But also, all the work that we do up front with public health and facility inspections and things like that it was truly a team effort”
He says that many of the legacy programs – including an injury and concussion management program – will continue to benefit not just Prince George, but the North as a whole.
Something going on in the Prince George area you think people should know about?
