BC Health officials report that 91.4% of eligible people 12 and older in B.C. have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, 88.3% received their second dose and 12% have received a third dose.
There are 341 new cases of the virus in BC, 29 are in Northern Health (the lowest in all the health regions), 70 are in Interior Health.
There are currently 2,915 active cases in the province, 262 are in the north, 576 are in the interior.
Of the active cases, 220 people are in the hospital and 73 are in intensive care.
The new/active cases include:
- 83 new cases in Fraser Health
Total active cases: 881 - 61 new cases in Vancouver Coastal Health
Total active cases: 538 - 70 new cases in Interior Health
Total active cases: 576 - 29 new cases in Northern Health
Total active cases: 262 - 98 new cases in Island Health
Total active cases: 606
From Dec. 1-7, people not fully vaccinated accounted for 57.7% of cases. From Nov. 24 to Dec. 7, they accounted for 63.5% of hospitalizations.

In the past 24 hours, nine new deaths have been reported, for an overall total of 2,378.
