You may have heard of a flash mob before, but what about a “CASH” mob?
Well that’s idea behind Saturdays innovative event which is aiming to boost local support for small businesses, while raising their profile, and of course bringing the community together for a common goal, with participants instructed to spend a minimum of twenty dollars at the participating business during the specified time frame.
The joint venture between Hell Yeah Prince George and the PG Chamber of Commerce is the first of its kind in the city, but Chamber CEO Christie Ray says its actually been very successful elsewhere:
“It is something that has been done quite widely in the United States, and in other parts of Canada”
Ray says they are hoping this will become a regular event in Prince George, and the Cash Mob takes place on May the 2nd from 10 am to 2 pm at Books and Company on 3rd Avenue.
Something going on in the Prince George area you think people should know about?
