A driver is facing multiple charges after an incident involving a case of extreme road rage on Wednesday night.
Prince George RCMP Corporal Jennifer Cooper says the incident occurred right before 6:00 pm near Kelly Road South and Austin Road.
“Frontline members learned that two drivers got into an argument that resulted in one driver allegedly pulling out a firearm and threatening the other driver with it. Police located the suspect driver and arrested him with the assistance of a Police Dog Service team,” Cooper stated.
Officers say they identified the male as Donald Chromick of Prince George, who is known to police.
Charges of possession of a weapon, resisting arrest, careless use of a firearm, and careless storage of a firearm have been approved against the 54-year-old.
Cooper says she has never seen such an extreme case of road rage in her entire RCMP career.
“We don’t get them too often where it goes beyond two people shouting at one another, so this is pretty unusual for Prince George,” she added.
Chromick will remain in custody until his next court appearance.
