Cariboo- Prince George candidates come together against COVID-19

Some of the candidates for the Cariboo- Prince George riding have set the debates aside for a moment to call on their community to get a COVID-19 vaccine.

Todd Doherty with the Conservatives, Garth Frizzell with the Liberals, Leigh Hunsinger-Chang with the Green Party, and Audrey Mckinnon with the NDP put out a joint statement that said vaccinations save lives.

The statement said this movement stemmed from a 19-year-old voter from Williams Lake asking the local candidates to put out a statement encouraging others to get vaccinated.

“Coming together as a community to prevent the spread of COVID-19 is how we can all do our part and contribute to the end of the pandemic while keeping our friends, family, neighbours and healthcare workers safe,” read the statement.
