Canada West announced Friday that it has adopted a proof of vaccination policy for the 2021-22 season.
The Board of Directors voted unanimously to adopt the policy, which will go into effect immediately.
It will require all Canada West participants including the UNBC Timberwolves to have received a first dose of vaccine by Thursday (September 9th).
A second dose must be received no later than October 17th in order to continue participation in university sports activity between member institutions.
Canada West participants include all student-athletes, coaches, managers, medical staff, strength and conditioning coaches, all event staff and officials, in attendance at competitions.
