BCNE makes long awaited return to Prince George

The BC Northern Exhibition is returning to Prince George tomorrow after being canceled last year due to the pandemic.

Sylvia Layzell, BCNE General Manager says she’s been working on a pretty tight schedule but expects a great turnout based on Rooftop Rock’s success a few weeks ago.

“We normally have ten or eleven months to prepare and we had about six weeks, so based on that timeline it’s extremely last minute but it’s all coming together and everyone is really excited,” added Layzell.

The event begins tomorrow (Thursday) in front of the CN Centre at 10 am and will have 12 food trucks and 16-17 rides available for residents to enjoy.

It will kick off with 4H Achievement day and run until Sunday night at 7 pm, entry is free and ride tickets can be purchased on site.

“West Coast Amusement has, of course, brought there staples like cotton candy and mini doughnuts and lemonade,” she explained, “what is nice for this year to is it is a different unit of West Coast that’s here so people will see rides that we don’t normally have at the fall fair.”

Layzell adds she and her team are excited to welcome Prince George back to an event like this after not being able to for so long.
