Over 25% of all BC adults fully vaccinated

BC Health officials are saying 1,122,024 second doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been handed out.

This is part of the 4,652,087 total doses distributed in the province.

This means 77.5% of all adults in BC, and 76.0% of those 12 and older have now received their first dose.

25.9% of all adults in B.C. and 24.2% of those 12 and older have received their second dose.

That being said, there were 75 new cases identified across BC, only one was found in the North.

This means there are currently 1,111 active cases in the province, with 48 of them in the north.

Of those cases, 113 people (7 in the north) are in hospital, while 34 (4 in the north) of whom are in ICU.

3 more people in the province have passed away due to the virus.

“Getting vaccinated is your ticket to travel and safe social connections. It is also our shared path to putting COVID-19 behind us as soon as possible. Let’s get moving forward to the brighter days ahead.” said Dr.Bonnie Henry.

Dr.Bonnie Henry was in Prince George this week to visit frontline workers and to address lower vaccination rates.
