Northern B.C. Crimestoppers is encouraging Prince George residents to bring their outdated personal documents to the annual ‘Shred It’ event, to ensure they don’t fall victim to identity theft.
The event will be conducted via Drive-Thru on Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm at the Prince George Secondary parking lot.
“This is your opportunity to shred important documents,” said Vice President Ron Polillo.
“We will be following provincial health guidelines and ask you to physically distance.”
Participants must wear a mask and remain in their vehicle.
This service is provided by donation (minimum $5 per bag or box) and is not meant for business owners.
A community BBQ will also be held in tandem.
