The Prince George Local Health Area has seen a decrease of COVID-19 cases for the second week in a row.
The BC CDC reports just 46 cases in the region over the span of January 17 to 23.
This is a decrease of 30 cases from the week before, which saw 76.Â
108 infections were reported in the first week of January.
The daily case rate in the area has also decreased from 10 to 15 cases per 100,000 people down to 5 to 10.
Cumulatively, the region has seen 773 infections from January to December of 2020.
Elsewhere in Northern Health, the Nechako region has reported 12 cases, also a decrease from the week before.
From January 10 to 16 the area saw 31 cases.
The daily case count is down to 10 to 15 cases a day per 100,000 compared to more than 20 per day during the previous reporting period.
Other areas of note include Fort Nelson, where 26 cases have been identified in one week.
The region saw 40 cases the week before but continues to see more than 20 cases a day per 100,000 people.
Peace River North and the Fort St. John area have seen 31.
Peace River South and Dawson Creek have seen 13.
