After a 3-1 win over the Kamloops Blazers, the Prince George Cougars are officially in the WHL Play-offs.
David Soltes scored the first goal of the game in the second period and Kody McDonald notched the winner early in the third period before 4,570 fans on fan appreciation night at CN Centre.
The Blazers lone goal from Cole Ully came midway through the third period before Colby McAuley tallied late to secure the Cougars a play-off spot.
The Cats will now play the Victoria Royals in the first round of the playoffs starting March 27th and 28th in Victoria before the series shifts back to CN Centre Wednesday April 1st (no fooling) and April 2nd. Tickets will go on sale this Thursday.
This is the first time in four years that the Prince George Cougars have entered the play-offs.
