The Prince George Spruce Kings show Home Lottery winner was announced earlier today amidst a packed house and tight quarters in the Show Home garage.
Lu Verticchio is marketing manager with the team, and says they sold out for yet another year, which is obviously good news for the organization:
“We can keep operating, I mean it’s 65% of our operating capital and then when you throw in our 50/50 that’s about 75% so the kids can play with sticks that aren’t broken and get good pads, good pants and good helmets. Its what what we rely on to keep the team on the ice.”
He mentioned that there were still several people coming to the house for tickets after the sellout, and was thrilled with the response from the community.
The show home winners, Sharon and Cliff Jaybusch will be showing up on the weekend to claim their prize.
While the $40,000 dollar 50/50 was also drawn, and awarded to Dana Eliason.
