Councillor Brian Skakun says its all about roots…
“If it wasn’t for our pioneers, we wouldn’t be here today, I think this is a great opportunity, and it looks we will be celebrating this, off and on, throughout the year, ” he says.
Lheidli T’enneh Chief Dominic Fredrick – also had a few words for everyone at a gathering at City Hall, Friday morning.
“I’m honoured to be here, I wish you all a happy birthday, for the city of Prince George,” he says.
Fredrick joined Mayor Lynn Hall and over 90 others who celebrated with cake and comparison photographs of how the city has changed over the last 100 years.
