RCMP were called to Cheslatta Lake earlier this month after human remains were discovered.
The discovery was made on May 7 along the remote lakeshore of Cheslatta Lake and was transferred to Cheslatta Carrier Nation Facility in South Bank on May 11.
Fraser Lake RCMP, Burns Lake RCMP, BC Coroners Service, and an archaeologist have now confirmed the remains that were found are historical.
