RCMP warning of thefts and speed during games

After 29 reported cases of valuables being stolen from vehicles since February the 7th, the Prince George RCMP would like to remind you to secure your belongings.

These crimes have occurred in most areas of the city and are committed at all hours of the day, with wallets and electronic devices some of the most popular items taken.

Meanwhile, the RCMP would also like to see drivers slowing down while travelling to and from all Canada Games Venues.

As one Vehicle has already been impounded for 7 days for excessive speeding, and the Ministry of Transportation has erected temporary reduced speed zones on Highway 16 at Tabor and Purden resorts.

All drivers on the highway are reminded to abide by posted limits.
