Another sex abuse lawsuit against former VanOc CEO John Furlong has been thrown out by a judge.
A woman had come forward in 2013 to claim that Furlong abused her while he was a gym teacher at a Burns Lake elementary school in 1970.
A BC Supreme Court judge dismissed the claim, pointing to school records that showed the woman didn’t attend school during the time of her complaint.
While Furlong continues to deny the allegations, this is the second person to have their case dropped, while a third person is still pushing ahead with their claim of sex abuse.
