Ice Age exhibit comes to Exploration Place

A new exhibit at Exploration Place brings the ice age to Prince George.

The “Ice Age Mammals” exhibit is coming thanks to the Canadian Museum of Nature.

Mark Bylsma (pictured) with the museum brought the exhibit from Quebec, which features skulls, bones, statues, and a full cast of a Mastodon skeleton, to give you an up-close look of a wild beast that would have roamed northern Canada 20,000 years ago.

“There’s lots to see for the family, kids and adults,” he says. “This show definitely has a ‘wow factor’, bringing a lot of fun conversation to your family, a lot of this stuff is just so astounding; From any age, people are going to have a lot of fun at this show.”

The exhibit was brought to Exploration Place now to coincide with the Winter Games and give families something exciting to see when not watching a sporting event.

“Ice Age Mammals” opens Friday.
