Prince George curling fans now know who team Canada is up against at the 2020 World Women’s Curling Championship.
The official schedule is now available and all remaining single draw tickets go on sale tomorrow, (Thursday).
Longtime rivals, Canada and Scotland, have an opening-day matchup on March 14th at 7 pm.
Key Canadian games to watch include the classic Canada vs. USA throwdown set for March 17th at 2 pm, and a game against back-to-back silver medallists Sweden on March 19th.
Italy’s women’s team, which narrowly qualified for the event through a last-chance qualification, will get to take on the Canadian squad on Tuesday, March 17 at 7 p.m.
The round-robin wraps up on March 20 with Canada and Switzerland showdown.
The two have won the last six world women’s championships combined (Switzerland in 2014, ’15, ’16, ’19; Canada in ’17, ’18)
Playoff hopes will be on the line during that game.
The 2020 World Women’s Curling Championship will feature 13 teams playing for gold, including the host Team Canada entry, which will be decided at the 2020 Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Moose Jaw from February 15-23.
