63 Canadians were among the victims including at least 30 residents of Edmonton, 6 students from universities in southern Ontario, and numerous students from Toronto.
Iranian officials say the crash was caused by a mechanical failure which may have resulted in an engine fire.
This, following yesterday’s widespread response from Canadian politicians.
