Prince George RCMP continues to crack down on impaired drivers.
From December 9th through December 15th, officers reported catching a substantial number of violations including:
- 2 – Criminal Code Impaired driving investigations
- 3 – 90-day Immediate Roadside Prohibitions (IRPs)
- 3 – 30day IRPs
- 7 – 24-hour driving prohibitions due to drugs or alcohol.
Additionally, 20 vehicles were impounded.
“Unfortunately it’s predictable,” said Cpl. Craig Douglass.
Douglass stressed the ongoing nature of the CounterAttack campaign, stating: “the front line officers with the Prince George RCMP will be out again this week and throughout the holiday season to target those individuals who choose to drive while impaired.”
The RCMP encourages individuals who witness an intoxicated person driving to contact 9-1-1 immediately.
