The Prince George Spruce Kings, with just 10 regular season games remaining, host the Coquitlam Express Friday and Saturday. The (23-20-0-5) Spruce Kings are in third place in the Mainland Division, six points behind Langley, seven back of Chilliwack and eight ahead of 4th place Coquitlam. The final home games for the Spruce Kings, prior to playoffs, will go Feb 27th and 28th against Langley.

–The (20-31-1-1) Prince Cougars host the Edmonton Oil Kings Friday and Saturday before playing seven of eight on the road. The Cougars, riding a 12-game losing streak, are four points behind Kamloops for the last playoff spot in the BC Division.

–The Major Midget leading Cariboo Cougars resume league play Saturday and Sunday when they visit the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds. The Cougars have six regular season games left, all on the road.

–The UNBC Timberwolves have their final regular season Canada West basketball homes games against the Fraser Valley Cascades Friday (6 & 8pm) and Saturday (5 & 7pm) at the Northern Sport Centre.

–Hockey player Micah Hart of Saanichton has been named Team BC Flag Bearer for the Canada Winter Games Opening Ceremonies. The Games start one week from Friday on February 13th.
