Operation Red Nose still looking for volunteers ahead of opening weekend

Operation Red Nose in Prince George is set to begin its 22nd year of operation.

The service will be offering rides between 9 p.m. and 3 a.m. Friday and Saturday from November 29th through to December 21st, as well as on New Year’s Eve.

Last year’s opening weekend saw over 120 safe rides provided.

The organization currently has 14 volunteer road teams composed of 160 approved applicants.

“There’s still time to volunteer, and we probably need around a hundred more,” said PR Chair Andrea Johnson, predicting that rides will be in high demand.

Volunteers must be 19 years or older and have a valid driver’s license.

The service can be reached at 250-962-RIDE (7433)

Visit Operation Red Nose’s official website for more information, and volunteering opportunities.
