An early morning break-in has put one man in police custody.
At around 2:30 a.m. RCMP received a report of a break and enter to a garage on Johnson Street after an alarm was triggered.
Officers attended the scene and attempted to clear the garage, where they found a man hiding under a vehicle. RCMP said he attempted to run, but was unsuccessful in the escape plan and instead taken into custody.
Jeffrey Nik Krafczyk, a 39 year old Prince George man, has been charged by the BC Prosecution Service with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Break & enter with intent
- Possession of break-in instruments
- Resist arrest
- Fail to comply with Recognizance (2 counts)
The charges of fail to comply with Recognizance are in relation to a previous investigation where Krafczyk has been charged.  Krafczyk was held in custody and will appear in court later today (Tues).
