Special weather statement in effect for Prince George and area

A special weather statement has been issued for Prince George and the surrounding area that includes ice pellets or freezing rain.

According to Environment Canada, Remembrance Day tomorrow (Monday) will progress with increasing cloudiness and ice pellets or freezing rain may begin late in the afternoon.

Winds may be up to 15 km/h starting with a wind chill of minus 16 in the morning and minus five into the afternoon.

Environment Canada is predicting snow overnight Monday and into Tuesday morning.
