Airport paving rebooked for Friday

The Prince George Airport has made changes to their paving project that was set to get underway today (Wednesday).

Instead of today, paving has now been bumped to begin on Friday, Sept. 20.

Areas affected:
– Ellis Road (the main road into the airport),
– Altimeter and Beacon Road (service roads on airport grounds)
– Long-term parking lot addition

At times during the project, there will be single-lane alternating traffic on Ellis Road. A flagger will be present to direct traffic, but airport officials are suggesting that anyone using the airport should allow a few extra minutes to arrive and park. The paving should take approximately a week, subject to changing weather.

The airport is assuring that there will be no impact to flight operations.
