RCMP investigate pedestrian fatal

Prince George RCMP along with the BC Coroners Service are investigating a fatal pedestrian collision.

Police received the report at 6:54 p.m. Saturday that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle on the 1700 block of Spruce St..

A 75 year-old man was transported to University Hospital where he later died from his injuries. Police say he was not from Prince George.

So far, investigators have determined that the victim was near his parked vehicle when he was struck by a passing vehicle. The driver of that vehicle stopped and remained at the scene.

Police ask anyone with further information to contact the Prince George detachment at (250) 561-3300.
