Everyone’s favourite giant wooden statue is flying a new flag.
In celebration of the City of Prince George signing an agreement with the Canadian Red Cross, Mr. PG is holding a Red Cross flag.
The agreement will make the Red Cross the lead organization delivering Emergency Support Services in the city.
Through the partnership, service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and includes the provision of food, lodging, clothing and other immediate needs for people displaced by emergency events for up to 72 hours.
They are now recruiting to increase volunteer capacity, and anyone interested in giving back to the community can attend a public information session at the Prince George Civic Centre on Thursday, July 25 at 7:00 pm.
