The BC Long Track Speed-Skating Championships will be held Saturday and Sunday at the Prince George Outdoor Ice Oval. Three clubs – PG Blizzard, Fort St. James Falcons, and the Fort St. John Elks will be hosting the Provincials. The meet will serve as a tune-up for the Canada Winter Games.
–Both the Prince George Cougars and PG Spruce Kings play their next few games on home ice. The Cougars start a string of four in a row at CN Centre when they entertain Portland Friday & Saturday. The Spruce Kings, riding a six-game losing skid, begin a 5 game homestand Thursday vs. Salmon Arm.
