Not long now until the start of the Canada Winter Games.
The final leg of the Illuminate the North tour is underway as Tuesday marks one month till the start of the games.
Alyson Gourley-Cramer is communications manager, and says the aim of the illuminate the North campaign was to get out of Prince George and spread the spirit of the games, with help from those all over BC:
“As well we are working with Northern Health handing out imagine grants, which are grants for communities who’ve applied this year to include healthy living, active living and healthy communities in their proposals”
She says the final run to the finish will see stops in smaller communities like 100 mile house, Wells, and Hixon. Before ending up in Quesnel for a big torch celebration.
