New Chief and Council of the Lheidli T’enneh Swearing-in Ceremony

For the first time in 15 years, a new Chief of the Lheidli Tenneh was sworn in.

Clay Poutney was elected earlier this month, defeating  Chief Dominic Frederick, who had held the position since 2004.

This evening (Wednesday) the new Chief and Council were sworn into their positions in front of an audience of many at the Uda Dune Baiyoh-House of Ancestors in Prince George.

Dolleen Logan, Helen Buzas, Clarence John and Josh Seymour are the four new councillors.
