Six-hour standoff on Tamarack Street ends without arrests

Prince George RCMP continues their search for two men wanted in relation to a shooting in the city, which took place on April 5 on the 2200 block of Quince Street.

Police attended to a home on the 2100 block of Tamarack Street in Prince George on Wednesday. The move was part of an on-going investigation in hopes of tracking down 38-year-old Eric Vern West and 33-year-old Kenneth Ricardo Munroe.

At approximately 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday, officers entered a home in search of the suspects after a standoff that began around 10 a.m.

After a thorough search of the building, police departed the area a couple of hours after.

In the afternoon of April 5, the Prince George RCMP received multiple reports of gunshots in the residential neighbourhood. Police believe this incident was a targeted attack between persons known to each other. The incident is also believed to be associated with the drug trade.

During the altercation, bear spray was deployed, followed by what police now believe to be a single gunshot. All of the individuals involved in the incident fled the area a short time after.

31-year-old Kyle Devro Teegee, one of the four suspects, was arrested nearby. He was found in an SUV shortly after the incident. Teegee was found to be suffering from a single, not life-threatening gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital for treatment.

Police located and arrested a second suspect, 26-year-old Anthony Joseph Karl Larsen, on Sunday at a residence on the 2100 block of Tamarack Street in Prince George.
