After scoring three goals and adding one assist in two games against the Victoria Grizzlies, Prince George Spruce Kings forward Corey Cunningham is the BCHL Player of the Week.
The 17-year-old from Prince George led the Spruce Kings to a pair of 4-2 victories in the first two games of the Coastal Conference final.
In Game 1 on Friday, Cunningham assisted on Dylan Anhorn’s first-period goal, then scored one himself on a backhand deke around Grizzlies goalie Kurtis Chapman.
In Game 2 on Saturday, he was named the first star after scoring twice in the second period, including the winner to snap a 2-2 tie.

Cunningham has eight points (four goals) in 11 playoff games.
