Two organizations are teaming up to make sure kids with autism can have a little extra fun this easter.
Autism BC and the Pacific Autism Family Network are hosting their second Annual Autism Friendly Easter Event next Friday (March 5).
From 6 to 7 p.m. at the Pacific Autism Family Network kids of all ages can make Easter crafts, decorate cookies and get a special visit from the one and only easter bunny.
To make the event autism-friendly, organizers said the event will be free of loud noises, strong smells and other sensory triggers that affect people with autism.
Parents are asked not to wear any scented products and to stay with their kids the whole time.
To ensure there are enough supplies for everyone parents are asked to sign up by contacting Heather Kwitkoski with Pacific Autism Family Network at [email protected].
