“I am very excited to come to UNBC. Playing soccer at the university level has always been a dream of mine, and I am happy Neil (Sedgwick) gave me the opportunity to make my dreams a reality. I think I am going to be able to grow and develop here, and I want to help them go to the next level.”
Timberwolves coach Neil Sedgwick met his newest recruit in 2018 and immediately identified Green as a player with the potential to impact the program at the Canada West level.
“Lexy has a complete openness to learning and is committed to her personal growth and the growth of the team,” said Sedgwick. “Coming in as a technically solid player, it is exciting to anticipate the type of contributor she will be for our program.”
Green will join her Timberwolves teammates for training camp in August after she graduates from Elgin Park Secondary in June.
