The University Hospital of Northern BC has gained more than 100 new parking spots.
54 news spots have been added to the front visitor lot while there are an additional all 55 stalls where the old Nechako building was located on Alward Street.
Everyone that uses UHNBC should benefit from the upgrades as over 800 visitors use the front entrance of the hospital every day..
Pedestrian access has also been improved to the bus loops and parking lot across 15th avenue.
The price tag on the parking improvements is just over $1.5M. The Fraser-Fort George Regional Hospital District funded $634,000 of the project.
