CN Centre is hailing last week’s Cirque du Soleil’s shows as a huge success.
Manager Glen Mikkelsen says the “Dralion” show was a phenomenal experience for the arena.
“We received nothing but tremendous reviews from all of the folks who saw it and just for us to be able to host an event of that magnitude was just a terrific experience,” he says.
Mikkelsen says Cirque left Prince George with an excellent impresson of the city.
“They said to us that they really did have a fantastic experience here with great audiences and a great collaboration from staff at CN Centre,” he says. “They do hope to return one day soon.”
Mikkelsen points out it also elevates the city in the eyes of promoters of other traveling shows, while boosting tourism.
“Both as people’s responses to it and the way sales went, it really exceeded expectations here for Prince George,” he says. “I think that bodes well for Cirque du Soleil shows and also other tours that might be looking at coming to this region.”
The “Dralion” show opens its final performances ever Thursday night in Alaska.
