The Air Quality in Prince George is Improving, but residents are not out of the woods yet.
The Air Quality Advisory for fine particulate matter (PM2.5) has now ended, but the Dust Advisory remains in effect (for PM10).
BC Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Air Quality Meteorologist Gail Roth expects the Advisory to end sometime today.
Infants, the elderly and those who have diabetes, and lung or heart disease are most at risk during the advisory.
If you are experiencing symptoms such as continuing eye or throat irritation, chest discomfort, shortness of breath, cough or wheezing, follow the advice of your health care provider.
The City of Prince George’s Clean Air Bylaw prohibits all open burning, including back-yard burning, and land clearing burning.
